Another month has flown by and as it gets chilly outside, we suggest you sit back, rug up and check out some of our May highlights:
Swinburne University Program
Over the past three months, a group of enthusiastic Swinburne Public Relations post-graduate students have been busy developing communications strategies to help four lucky planners promote their plans. The plans that the students worked on include:
Change the World with Kindness by Ethical Gifts
Morisset Peninsula Free Library by John Hegarty
Making Shopping Easier by Every Parent’s Dream
Mental Health Awareness Social Project by YABI
The program was a great opportunity for the students to sink their teeth into a real-life project in which they interacted with their planners and developed strategies for them. The students worked in groups to produce various tools such as media and marketing materials to help planners get their big ideas ‘out there’ and generate awareness.
The project was a great success for all involved and we give a big thanks to the students and planners who took part. We look forward to bringing another opportunity like this your way soon so keep your eyes and ears out!
Bendigo Relay For Life – Bendigo Bank Team 2012
The Bendigo Relay For Life plan was a huge success with the Bendigo Bank Team contributing more than $2,600 towards the $160,000 total funds raised – congratulations team! Relay For Life is an overnight relay event where teams of friends, family members or colleagues get together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and help raise money for cancer research. Participating teams walk or run around the track to support this worthy cause. The Bendigo Relay For Life started at 6pm on Friday 27th April and finished at 3pm the next day. Read more about this plan here and find out more about Relay For Life here.
